ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2006

   



Metzeler and his riders of the KTM and Honda factory teams have been testing all winter long to find the best combination of Metzeler tyre and spikes from Sweden/Italy/Finland, to prepare for a perfect start in the "unknown" ice and snow desert.



Thanks to these results, all top spots of the World Championship standings are occupied by Metzeler's riders: Cervantes, Aro, Knight.



The Metzeler 6Days Extreme worked very well and the results in E1 and E3 were, as nearly just usual, great.In this way, the great show in the E1 and E3 is dominated by Metzeler's riders, while the battle is extremely open among  4 top level riders in the E2.

At the half way stage in the '06 FIM World Enduro Championship an incredibly physical course was awaiting the riders at Rovetta: winning was anything but easy!



For the first time in North America, the World Enduro Championship riders were confronted with 400 kilometres of the most rugged terrain in Canada.
The riders had to fight with extraordinary hot and humid conditions, with sharp rocks, beautiful but difficult part through the woods with mud hole and roots.
But the perfect combinations of the three KTM's reigning Champions I. Cervantes, S. Aro and D.Knight and Metzeler 6 Days Extreme dominated also the Grand Prix of Canada.




The riders were confronted with deep mud, slippery rocks and meadows and a lot of water.
MCE 6 Days Extreme showed its supremacy and was praised from many riders as a very good tyre, even as best choice for the difficult first race day.
After the North American Rounds, all top spots of the World Championship standings are occupied by Metzeler's riders: Cervantes, Aro, Knight.
