The racing began again Saturday morning with a tough program, a challenging 4 laps around the 50 kilometers track. In ENDURO 1, Metzeler’s Mika Ahola (HM-Honda) quickly took the lead, having always been a strong competitor in the Extreme Test where his adversaries make mistakes. Mika finished more than one minute ahead of French Husqvarna rider Antoine Meo, who just edged out the next Metzeler rider from the KTM Factory team, Simone Albergoni. |

After an exhausting first day, the second round of the GP POLISPORT OF PORTUGAL did not offer any relief to the stars of WEC. With 4 laps each day, the opening Portuguese round was filled with impressive special tests and no less than 12 timed sectors. The Extreme Test appeared as hazardous as the day before, but the Enduro Test was also the theatre of many surprises. Nevertheless, the fastest riders were the same on both days. Metzeler riders Mika Ahola, Johnny Aubert and Ivan Cervantes doubled their wins and settle down at the top of their categories. |
